    For what ever reason I thought this sling was 1 1/4". It's not, it's an inch. I put mine on an 8 pound (3.6 kg) Benelli M4. I would say that is approaching the upper limit of this sling for practical terms. Once adjusted this is a really nice sling to use. It adjust when you want it to and ONLY when you want it to. For heavier long arms you might consider the one with padding.

    pickup up a couple of these to mount on issued 870 shotguns. Slings are readily adjustable and well made. Shipping and dealing with 4GT was easy and painless as well.
